AFTERNOON TEAS

Afternoon Teas were introduced and served with a pot of tea whilst decoratively arranged on a layered plate stand, at best eaten slowly to fully appreciate the variety of tastes. They mainly consist of home baked cakes, some savoury mouth watering treats as well as fresh sandwiches, wraps or bagels.

Scottish Treats is a family run business.

Scottish Treats was originally planned to operate from Niagara Falls in Canada and our menu and concepts were based on family favourites enjoyed during childhood, many with significance to the family grandmothers and mother.

Covid changed the world in many ways, so here today is Scottish Treats operating in Ayrshire and North of Glasgow.

Many Old fashioned tea parties were introduced in the 1940's when dinner was not usually served until 8pm. This left people hungry between lunch and dinner, therefore an afternoon tea related ritual was born. These events served a variety of savoury and sweet treats and we hope our well thought through menu's can help you entertain your friends and family, especially those visiting from far and wide to show them ALL the appreciation of Scotland and the variety of tastes.
